Canon Powershot Best Model
Are the canon powershot models better than Sony ? why ?

ikonw yhe sony are probably the best camares arounf but the powershot have some special queaites that make pictures look more fun and intresting. whic cone should i buy??

I can tell you that I own a Canon, an Olympus and a Sony digital camera. They are all top-of-the-line (for serious amateurs anyway) cameras, each retailing at around the $1000 mark.

For my money, I swear by the Sony. This is actually the fourth Sony I’ve owned, and from this point forward, it’s all I’ll buy for digital cameras (well, at least until something else comes out that I can’t resist trying).

Sony merged with Minolta, so they now have that technology to complement what they already had.

I actually compare some of the pictures I took a few years ago with my older Sony (only a 2 megapixel camera), with the 8 meg Canon and Olympus, and I think it is almost as good. I know that sounds like crap, but it’s not. I have some of the 2 meg shots blown up to 16 x 24, matted and framed on the walls, and no one can tell they are digital. Some of the 8 meg from the Olympus and Canon you can tell immediately. I don’t know why this is true, but it is. It may have to do with the Carl Zeiss lens used by the Sony cameras that I have had…I’ve always read that it made a difference, and that could explain it.

Good luck!!!
