Best Camera Lenses
What are the best lenses for portrait pictures of a Canon 50D?

The EOS 50D has a crop factor sensor, or multiplier focal length of 1.6 x-which means that a target which is 10-22mm or 50 mm is in fact ~ ~ 16-35mm and 80 respectively (there). The portrait is the best in the range of 85 mm, albeit from 50mm-100mm is good in everything. A 50mm would be fine. If you really can afford the best 50mm f/1.2 is, but it costs a bit * * fair. Underestimate indeed. The f/1.4 is really your second best bet. This is the one to go, actually, if you can not afford the f/1.2 and go for a 50mm. And is really great for the price. I do not suggest the f/1.8 unless the budget, although it is a pretty nice goal that most people like. Only the AF is a bit slow (without motor USM) and the bokeh is a little harder, not too good for Portaits. AF can track a bit, well, darker lighting. The 85mm f/1.8 – now, the objective portrait optimal. It gives you a 135mm, which is fair enough … something a bit far, only a few feet away, but otherwise okay. Recommend this maximum, plus for 50 mm f / 1,2. Thus: 1. 50mm f/1.2 2. 85mm f/1.8 or 50mm f/1.4 (try to rent both and see which one you like more) 3. 50mm f / 1.8, if you really reduces to that of the portraits, a primary goal is the best. In fact, almost necessary. Maximum aperture is usually quite high, according to f / 2 ~, thereby providing a good bokeh (blurred background) to keep the focus on the subject. There are a lot of halo at times, but this adds to the feeling soft portrait. 100mm on a crop factor of the camera sensor is just too much, perhaps.
