Bower 8mm Canon Eos Digital Slr Fish Eye Lens
bower vs the fisheye lens of 8 mm rokinon?
hello. I am a camera novice who wants to invest in a fisheye pretty cheap. I met two at overstock.com. the bower 8mm fisheye and ultra rokinon aspherical 8mm fisheye wide. the price is almost the same, but I need help deciding which is better. I have a Canon 500D, if that helps. http:// http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/Bower-8-MM-Canon-EOS-Digital-SLR-Fish-Eye-Lens/4313554/product.html www.overstock.com / Electronics / Rokinon -8mm-F3.5-Ultra-Wide-Aspherical-Fisheye-Lens-for-Canon-EOS/4340533/product.html
These lenses are the same, with different brands. Both are manufactured by Samyang (a Korean company): http://www.syopt.co.kr/eng/product/8mm.asp. They also are sometimes sold as a Falcon, 7 mm Vivitar and Opteka 6.5mm (how they get away with advertising of different focal lengths of optical'm not sure). They are great fisheye lens for the price. I have self.
