Canon 2.8 Lenses
Looking for a good set of lenses for my Canon 10D which is better and why?

I am a photographer not amatuer but do not consider myself a professional. I am not sure which of these two sets of lenses are better for my Canon 10D. Which ones are better and why?
I have an option to buy these 2 lenses:
Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8-4 DG High Speed Zoom Lens with 1 Year USA Warranty
Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro Zoom Lens with 1 Year USA Warranty
or
The Tamron Autofocus 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6 Aspherical Autofocus zoom lens
The Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD Macro Autofocus Lens.

i have 3 sigma lenses & they r great …can’t say it’s better than tamron lense ((coz i didn’t try it))….if we take a look to the sigma ((28-70mm f/2.8-4)) …it has a wonderful maximum aperture ((2.8 at 28 mm & 4 at 70 mm)) it’s something good if u want to get more light to ur low light shots ….good luck.

what canon lenses best to use shooting sports. (from Stands)?

looking to buy a good quality fast f/stop lense to shoot mainly football. please help. f/1.8-f’2.8

please help

From the stands? Thats a ways away. The cheapest would be the 70-200 f/2.8 about 1100. Then you are going for the 300 f/2.8 about 4000 and the 400 f/2.8 about 7000. Not to be mean but if you have to ask this question, the 300 f/2.8 and the 400 f/2.8 are too much lens for you to handle. Getting used to long primes like that takes a bit of practice, and so does shooting football. Try buying a 70-200 f/2.8 and getting on the sidelines if you can.
