Canon 350d Lenses
I want to buy a zoom lens of my Canon 350D.?

I have an 18-55mm standard lens at the moment and want to decide between: 1. Sigma 18-200mm lens with IS 220 £ – Adv = no need to change the lens and can rule out my lens 55mm-18 today. 2. 70-300mm with image stabilization (IS) for £ 320 – Canon better zoom, but the hassle of having to change lenses every time. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks

IMO the Canon is the best option. Selling and buying 18-55mm Canon 17-85mm. You will "overlay" but the two lenses give much coverage.

Canon 350d Lenses

Camera 500D – Excellent camera

I upgraded from a Canon 350D 500D of the Assembly. Why? a) The number of pixels, so that you can cut without worrying too much. b) screen the 350D is too small for my eyes. The screen 500 is a marvel even higher. C) Automatic sensor cleaning. d) better image quality. e) the video is a plus, but not on my wish list, but to have it anyway and it works very well. I also looked at the 50D, but decided instead to spend the price difference in buying a 580EX ll is very good.

I mainly use a Canon 18-200mm because they generally have a lead dog in one hand and a camera in the other and stop to change the objective is not really an option …. and the objective is sufficient.

I just take pictures at a private reception, especially within and the quality is excellent.
My only gripe with the 500D camera is that if you're like me and always turn off the camera and you really need be careful that this fact has moved the wheel function. I almost always have mine in front and I was taken a few times to remove the wheel on the manual.

All in all that I am delighted with the pink 500D camera and I can recommend without hesitation.

Bright latest addition, but with some reservations

Having received this latest addition to Canon EOS line (to replace my old 10D), I should try it, of course!

This is a welcome upgrade, with DIGIC 4 expectations. Using the measure Function7 (Auto Lighting Optimizer), he struggled to get exposed to a bad picture! However, remember that only works for underexposed and overexposed Photos remain – has never been what can be done with a light from heaven, with a landscape otherwise opaque, unless you take several photos on display separately to the deception and manipulation with Photoshop, or manipulate the RAW image! However, the highlights are overexposed course followed and noted that immediately after the playback screen.

Priority attention to the tone is very good function (CF6), but then all CF2 use to expand the higher ISO 3200-12800 has been lost, because the two do not work together! However, the brightness is not bad but reading in one day brighly lit tends to silence the colors you see. Why oh why Canon has decided to press a button completely independent (AE / FE "*" in the back) to set focus? Certainly, it would have been preferable to use the trigger?

The same applies to start and stop a videotape – You must press the shutter button Live View to the right of the screen to start / stop!

Hovever, complaints are merely cosmetic, as some of these characteristics. Photographers are not used much at all, even if they are good are "emergency"!

The camera body itself is light, but as usual the addition of a lens and Speedlite tend to considerable weight increase. But individually, the body naturally feels in the hand with the handle a little better that contribute to the ease of handling and adhesion.

Overall, an excellent game, with results exceeding expectations. Although comparable to the Nikon D90, but certainly an indispensable tool for a snapper with a range of Canon lenses already!
