Canon 580ex Flash Gun
With a gun flash, fast shutter speed and continuous shooting?

With a gun flash, continuous shooting at shutter speeds quick and yesterday I got the Canon 580EX II for my canon 500d and want to use in the garden to take photos of birds. The Robin in the garden is not a problem, because now comes very close and is not afraid of the flash. I use a fast shutter speed and continuous shooting, but when I do this, the flash fires every time. Is there anything I can do to flash every time? Even when I was shooting at 1 / 60 was not firing all the time. What is the fastest shutter speed you can use with continuous shooting? Will my aperture setting affects the flash? I have the battery soon. Will this make any difference? Thanks in advance for your help.

Both the manual of your camera and flash will answer many of your questions. Each flash will have a "recycle time." Depending on what you set the power Flash is on recycling determine the period (1 / 16 power will have a lower penetration power then recycle 100% 100 '). I am not familiar with the camera, but I can take my camera and flash sync speed to 1 / 300. The general default for most cameras is typically 1 / 200 or 1 250 /. The 580EX II is a nice flash. I have mine setup through the camera settings as a custom function so you can manually control the flash, or allowed to communicate with the camera and make automatic adjustments. I use a Quantum Turbo, SC, and has helped with time recovery. If You Have the camera flash and TTL for September, Then the aperture will Affect the flash as the camera flash Exposure is Taking the reading and trying to calculate the distance to focal point (and if the flash detects a read head tilt than straight (45 ° up) have some difficulties) Many people see the stars get photos taken at the awards ceremonies, and try to get your flash to do the same "snap shot" that are there … what does not realize is that there are 50 or so different photographers with 50 different flashing all the shots on several occasions.

I use a fast shutter speed and continuous shooting, but when I do this, the flash does not fire every time. Is there something I can do that flash every time? Opening affects flash exposure – aperture and to reduce the flash output. By now the cooldown is reduced below. You must keep the shutter speed equal to or less than the maximum sync speed (1 / 200 or less). If you do not sync high speed, the flash does not fire in a pop single – to the pulses, while the gap in the shutter curtain moves across the sensor. It uses a lot of energy and flash tend to take the power to 1.1 to have an impact on the image at all. I used YN560 a flash 1 / 8 power for these swim Strobist shot – the flash is kept shooting at 8 fps if laid off 1 / 8 of power or less. http://www.flickr.com/photos/deepbluephotography/5130800565/in/set-72157625153691393/ Remember that you do not need fast shutter speeds to freeze movement – the explosion of Flash does it. When your shots Wildlife often better to avoid the burst mode and anticipate the action in place.
