Something I always recommend photographers wondering what equipment to buy is a small flash. Even if you only use the camera flash unit can be a tremendous help in many different situations. However, one area that I understand that people are often reluctant to enter, using the flash off camera.
A common misconception is that it takes more than a flash drive to get decent light flash off camera. While flashes additional help, there is an incredible amount of things you can do with one. With simple solutions that you can often believe that more than one.

1. Backlight
