My Canon PowerShot A460 camera does not have the time and date?

I've had this camera for two weeks and everything is great and I love it. What is wrong? Me or the camera? Thank you. Thanks for input so far. I read the manual at least 10 times. I also bought that small battery and twice with the same results. I still feel I'm still doing something wrong, as it has the dat / time for a while sometimes. I can not get the camera replaces Wal Mart because they no longer active stock of this model and would have to upgrade to a higher level PowerShot. I love this camera. Still tend to think it's something I'm good do or not do. I found the answer in solving problems CANON website. This button battery is charged by the ordinary two AA batteries. So I invested in two new batteries Lithium for nothing. And that aspect of being loaded in the manual NOT CANON. Is there anywhere.

There is a watch battery inside the battery compartment regular. needs changed or you could go back to the camera. or contact canon.
