Canon Camera Macro
I am looking for a good macro lens for my Canon camera.?

Does anyone know a good macro lens for my Canon Digital Rebel XSi? I am looking for one that is good quality but the cost is often obscene amounts of money. Besides, I'm fairly new to photography, I just got my camera a couple of months, so can to keep that in mind as well. Thanks, if you have any suggestions.

A true macro lens will be at full scale, so that is something 1 cm long in the real world is 1 cm long in the sensor (1:1). Some goals to his name macro can focus up close but not close 1:01. All can be used as a standard lens its just the ability to focus close is built into the lens. 3 Sigma to true 50mm macro lens a 70mm and a 105mm one, the difference is how far the area that are in 1:1 with a 50mm lens that will be around 2 "with the 105 mm around 9." This distance Additional may be useful as you can get in their own light when it is too close, if not scare photographing insects, but as magifying also magnifies the movement 105 mm is more difficult to handle when handheld. Any of these lenses are given exceptional picture quality. http://www.sigma-imaging-uk.com/lenses/macro/70mm.htm http://www.sigma-imaging-uk.com/lenses/macro/50mm.htm http://www. If sigma-imaging-uk.com/lenses/macro/105mm.htm not have to go as close as size all Sigma lenses approach the equivalent of Canon and that this 17 – 70mm f2.8 – 4.5 can make half-size (1:2) and is a "good walk" around the lenses too. http://www.sigma-imaging-uk.com/lenses/dclenses/17-70mm.htm Any of these will be cheaper than the equivalent Canon, ignore people who say that you should use Canon lenses, not only his true today. In independent tests Sigma 70mm macro was the sharpest lens of all test and including Canon. Chris
