My sister had the A570 for half a year and loves it. I used it and is very good for the price. Do not worry not lose the battery charger or death. You can use a AA battery. I know that some people lose or misplace their cargo when needed. SD1000 is small and best player, but the image. Stabilization Sony are not as reliable as Canon. Canon has good videos too compared to Sony and other brands. Helped my cousin bought two A570 on newegg.com the combined package.
