I have a Canon SLR with an external flash movie I put in a canon digital slr.

In general, the only light you should NEVER put in the camera shoe models are recommended by the manual of your camera. It's that simple. It is one of the main reasons for this: Trigger voltage. OK, time to get technical. Trigger voltage signal is basically sends your flash back to your camera to say he has done his job. There is actually a more technical explanation, but this is a simplified answer. most of flashes (especially compared to the trademark or not) have different firing voltages. and with more flashes or the cheapest this voltage can be quite high. I measured voltages up to 140V! And in some cases production sparkles with long stretches that can Varry 6V to 110V (look up Vivitar 283 voltage). This can not be the case with flash, but you should still check with the list of acceptable for the camera flashes. Modern digital SLR cameras and electronics have sophisitcated Sensitve that may be adversely affected by high voltage trigger. Current flashes like Canon Speedlight 430EX 540EX or voltages are safe for your system. (But again, no take my word for it see manual). I have said that, in general, Canon EX flashes with a model in the title is safe for current Canon digital SLR cameras. Canon models EZ Flash, or outside marked as Vivitar flashes, you can still have trigger voltages of insurance, but does not work in all modes. You can also test voltage flash using a voltmeter on the configuration load on the contacts to measure the activation voltage, the lower the better. So basically do not play with sensitive electronics, because if the potatoes cheapo camera flash will not be covered under warranty. Canon DSLR Help?

Hey guys, I'm having trouble deciding what is the best that I could buy a Canon SLR. Im in need new SLR digital camera and I want everyone's opinion on what is the best by far Canon only. I want a device that could make a big color photo format and in black and white. Also with flash and all that good stuff.

I love my Digital Rebel XT. There is also a digital SLR camera Canon step over this – a professional camera, which is supposed to be even better but more expensive. Customer service is the first Canon class too. I highly recommend the Canon Rebel.
