Canon Digital Slr Lenses Compatibility
Digital SLR Camera Lens Compatibility?

Hey, I'm thinking of buying one of the new Sony A330 DSLR, as a beginner / entry-level camera for myself. The package I'm looking at Sony comes with two lenses, however, does anyone know if these lenses Sony (18-55 and 55-200mm) can be used in different cameras, for example. Canon, if I wanted to upgrade to a better or more expensive camera in the future? If the lenses are not interchangeable with different camera brands, it is still worth getting this Sony DSLR? Or do they have good resale value?? Thanks

N Sony / Minolta lenses do not fit in another camera body responsible. "Most of the brand makes that only serve their own lenses. When you buy a digital SLR camera to purchase a "system." You build up the lenses and accessories for the system in recent years, perhaps even buying a new camera body as new features come, but still able to use all the objectives it has accumulated. You can change the brand, of course, but if you have lots of lenses, you have to sell those too and usually results in a bit of a loss. Sony is a good brand though, and would hold its value reasonably well. There is some snobbery (fully unfounded) among photographers true that Nikon / Canon are "better", but it is not the case. There may be perhaps a wider range of lenses for these models, but the third party lens manufacturers (Tamron, Sigma lenses for all major brands including Sony). I recommend trying the cameras of major brands who have the features you want in the Sony – in fact enter into a camera store, pick them up, test weight, button placement, ease of access menus, etc and make your decision based on what feels right for you. Take a test pictures in the store a few (not have to buy from there, although most stores price match with a real website).
