Sharing my Canon digital SLR to a Canon G9?

The key to taking great photos is to always have your camera and taking lots of photos. So I am considering switching to a Canon G9. Does anyone have an opinion? The comments are great.

That is the key, but degrade your camera is not the way forward. You will lose too many features (interchangeable lenses, the large sensor digital SLR VERY low shutter lag, so the list goes on and on). I am a professional and takes me at least a DSLR and three lenses every where I go. I keep it locked in my car, out of sight. I have a small point and photo shoot for when I have no idea digital SLR in my backpack. Keep your digital SLR camera and buy a good compact camera. You will notice the difference in the form of work very soon.
