I’m looking for a camera for school it has to be Nikon or Canon DSLR which would you recommend?

I’m looking for a camera for school, I’m going to have a degree in photography. I can only choose a Nikon DSLR or a Canon DSLR. I’m having trouble choosing because these to types of cameras are awesome, which camera would you recommend?

As you said, both camera systems are awesome, so you’re pretty unlikely to regret choosing either one. Historically, Nikon has been known for making the best lenses, while Canon tended to to make the best combination of body and lens technology. These are just slight differences, though, and neither company is bad at either.

It usually comes down to which feels better and more natural to you. The best advice I think I can give is to spend some time holding and trying out each one–as well as their lenses–and see which one seems to best match how you “see,” and how the controls feel in your hands. You’ll likely discover you have a preference.

(Just as an aside, my icon photo of the Thinker was taken with a Canon Rebel XS film camera when I was just beginning to take photography seriously).
