Canon Ef-S Lenses Explained

The sensors of digital SLRs are much larger than their counterparts in the developed and the camera shot. This allows them to be more large surface capture sensitivity to light and perhaps more with less light.

DSLR extra sensitivity is particularly useful

# Shooting poorly lit areas.

# Freeze the action to reduce exposure time.

# Use smaller openings lenses to increase the amount of things constantly.

Only in the line digital camera Canon you can find a digital SLR with 22.2 x 14.8 mm x 36mm to 24 sensors (the size of a frame 35 mm). In addition, many of their digital cameras point and shoot, using a sensor that measures only 7.8 x 5.32mm. To put it in simple terms, the sensors SLR area are 8-20 times more than their point and shoot.

Imagine a sensor as a rectangular cube of light that falls on him like rain, you'll find that more bins will collect more drops (Or particles of light called photons), and faster than smaller ones. A number of photons are needed to save an image, therefore, a larger sensor can achieve the necessary amount quickly. This means that a larger sensor is more sensitive to a small group in the same conditions.

In the image sensitivity to light is measured using a criterion of ISO (International Organization for Standardization). Most points and digital cameras have an ISO sensitivity range of 50 to 800 ISO, with the former at the lower end and the second summit.

Fuji has recently introduced a compact digital camera SuperCCD sensor that includes two light-sensitive area per pixel with a sensitivity of ISO 1600. A model has also been introduced by Olympus, with a capacity of 10,000 Monster ISO. The usefulness of these models developed ultra-high ISO and shoot remains to be seen. Otherwise, the vast majority of digital SLR cameras not exceed ISO 800. Those with high ISO settings have not been proven to be very good in terms of image quality.

In addition, for digital SLR cameras – with sensors of higher sensitivity and greater light gathering pixels – it is common for her to go ISO settings up to ISO 1600.

Many SLR cameras capable of ISO 3200 or higher digital. This extra speed is a double edged sword as seen in "Reducing noise in pictures." However, a compensation value because of the sensitive nature allows you to take pictures in low light, take action photos, and stretch the depth of field available.

Difference in the lenses?

He wanted to buy Canon EOS 500D/Kiss x 3 (Japan). What is the difference between EF-S 18-55mm to 200mm EF-S. Pls explain in a language not photography. coz im little new photographs of what n is the first camera I have. Oh, and if you do not mind pls say bad about this model too (and the positive 2)

Both lenses have an angle adjustment of the common scale – 18mm – but differ in often called the "scope" – 55 mm vs 200 mm. Maybe this will help you understand. Suppose that you focus on a 15 under Reserve feet with 18-55mm lens to 55mm and is about 4 mm in height to the screen (or screen view). Now, go to 18-200mm lens and focus on your subject using the creation of 200 mm on the target. Its purpose is now at its height 14.56mm viewer (or your screen). It's as if you were going to be 15 feet from the object to be just over 4 feet away from him – but was physically in the same place. These two examples are based on the fact that 200 mm lens is 3.64 times "over" the objective of 55mm. The effect is to make it appear as if it was closer 3.64 times when you are not really. With wide 18-200mm to get the same view as the 55mm-18 (at 18mm), but in the end of 200mm gives you "more close without having to physically. The 18-200mm is a good "work" the objective must be adapted very well. Suggest you with your new camera.
