I have a Canon PowerShot Elph digital camera's photos but just come out blury. Any advice?

Best digital camera for under $ 250?

I'm going to Peru and I want a camera that takes stunning PIX. I have a Canon Powershot SD800 Elph, but the image quality is just not what I'm looking. All the cameras I've seen are ridiculously price 500 +. namely: Nikon D90
