Canon Elph Camera Battery
What kind of Canon point and shoot should I get?
I want a camera under $300, and I’ve heard Canon’s good.
Should I get the smaller elph, with 3x zoom, or one of the larger, AA battery point-and-shoots with more zoom but maybe more shutter lag?
And if the point-and-shoot’s the way to go, which one?
I want a camera for friends mostly, but also one that has a decent zoom, but I don’t want the zoom to make the camera so slow and/or bulky that it’s a nuisance.
I’m also having trouble distinguishing between the different kinds (580/720/640 etc) of Canon cameras.
Any advice?
You can do quite a bit of research on the different models by visiting the amazon store.
The newer PowerShot 1100IS has quite a few good reviews.
The slightly older SD750 is highly rated too.

any sugestions for how to get water out of a canon camera?!!?
Ok so friday night I was camping out in a tent and when i woke up my phone (slvr) and camera (canon SD750 ELPH) were laying on a soaked blanket and i’ve been letting them dry out. the phone started to work this morning but soon after it started to flicker on and off again. i didn’t realize that my camera and phone were wet until after i had tried turning them both on!! :[ so i imediatly took out my batteries and memory card and layed it on a vent and now i have it in a zip lock bag with a silica gel packet (however you spell it). is there any hope??
please help my parents are going to KILL me!!!!
Dropping and drowning are the leading killers of digital cameras. Your Canon SD570 has become yet another statistic. Use it as a paperweight and begin shopping for your new camera.
