What ELPH Canon PowerShot digital camera is the best to buy?

I agree with Petra. I own the SD900 and love. I could be so happy with the new SD850-IS. It is a smaller sensor, but the "is" is a valid function which really helps. I think the SD900 is still the superior. It has 10 MP and SD is the only one that has the highest 1/1.8 "sensor, which is almost twice the size of the sensor in any of the other SD cameras. In general, this translates into better image quality with less noise. Is the one I bought as my pocket camera. After that, you can Hovering over the image and become a magnifying glass. Click on it as a magnifier once and the image will be full size and can actually discuss the details or search for artifacts such as halo or noise. Here is a photo to put online that I took with the SD900. Click "All Sizes" and this view as large as possible and check out the birds. (They are not digital noise!) Look at the tips of the branches of trees to assess the sharpness. It was taken in the full 111 mm (Equivalent) zoom. It was taken in the fully automatic mode without my help at all. The horizon is crooked because the camera was resting on the top of my car. I did not want to change anything, because this is part of a three-image series comparing optical zoom crop for digital zoom.
