Has your Canon Digital ELPH cameras, LCD broken?

I bought a Canon SD400, and the screen cracked in less than a month. Not my fault I took some photos, grabbed the camera and the screen cracked. Does anyone else have this problem. I want to buy another, but not if the quality is suspect. Thank you.

I have friends with Canon products very similar, and have never heard of an LCD screen spontaneously cracked. From the forums or chamber groups I read, nor I have heard of an LCD screen to do this. Is it possible that the camera fell on its own, perhaps by someone else and it does not tell you? If it was impossible for any external force broken glass, then maybe got a defective model, but in no way indicative of their overall quality of Canon – LCD screens are resistant to not crack on their own.

Which Canon ELPH digital camera should I expect? (SD 980IS, SD 960IS, 940IS SD, SD 1400IS)?

These four cameras can be found for all the same price online, so I want to know what is best for me. The image quality is most important to me and I rarely (If ever) to play the settings of a manual, so I guess that the camera takes the best pictures with automatic settings? I noticed Two of these cameras (not knowing the other) have the same objective, that means I have the same image quality?
