Canon Elph Meaning
Best Digital Camera (best answer)?

Hey I am not prepared as a SLR camera or anything, just I mean your regular Canon Powershot or something well. The last camera I had was a Canon PowerShot SD790 IS (Digital ELPH), but it broke the lens on it, so I'm looking for a new one. Indeed, one is 10 mega pixels. I paid about U.S. $ 300-350 for one, but I do not mind paying more. Well, I already use an SLR for the collection of my friends with them. I'm looking for to a smaller one that I can take with me wherever it is of better quality than my iPhone.

A Nikon D40 can be had for $ 400, why not a SLR?
