The screen of my Canon SD1000 Elph went black. It is not the screen. Take all the pictures black. Help?

If you still can see images playing, or see the menu on the screen, then it is likely that the sensor is triggered. That's not good news. Yes, it is reparable. But it's probably going to cost more the camera is worth. Sorry!

How can I take pictures of water drops?

I'll try to explain how to take photos of water droplets on surfaces such as flowers. What is needed is lots of light and a tripod (no sound will do). Learn how to set your camera ISO sensitivity low (between 50 and 200 should be good). Place the flower in front of the camera and use a syringe or dropper to put a drop of water on one of the petals. Now organizing your camera to point downward, zoom as much as possible and take a picture. If the first does not look good, do not give up! Please try again. This can, try different angles, or to try to get a bulb. Good luck!
