Buying a 5D is not going to guarantee crystal clear photos. A solid understanding of photographic principles of how to achieve strong photos help. You have to think through the entire process, from the lens shutter speed for a good support (tripod). Maybe try a lower priced camera as the new XSi, start with some sensitive targets and which could, theoretically, build your foundation. The purchase of an expensive camera body will not ensure that your pictures are going to get 'clear' glass. What is the differance between the EOS 400D Canon Rebel XTi and Canon EOS 5D Digital SLR?
