Canon Eos 5D vs Nikon D80?

I'm looking to buy a nice digital SLR. I want it for portraits and travel. I want to be able to get great prints a high quality. I know that the Eos is more expensive but is much better or what do you recommend? Are these two good to compare? Thank you.

again dr. Sam left us in the dust when it comes to your answers:) certainly noted the details. also, i can just imagine how they can really afford the 5d as output a digital SLR? anyway just curious. I want to get adopted too! haha good for 5d, is generally used for portraits and landscapes is that it has a full-frame sensor can cover significantly larger fov the d80 sensor. that's another thing to consider becaused lens af-s doesn't work with 5d, because will emerge from the shadows in the corners and you really do not want that. Also another thing to consider with the EOS 5D is that there is NO BUILT IN FLASH! look, can Speedlite flashes be quite useful when you do not have fast lenses. but of course, if you have the $ $ MONEY then go for it. 5D is just soo good to have, but d80 is good enough.

What digital SLR camera should I do next?

So I currently have a Nikon D80. It's a bit outdated and I am seeking a new camera. If I upgrade to the Nikon D90 or experience with a new brand, like the Canon EOS 5D. I no fixed budget … there are only recommendations for good camera ..

Switching systems the camera is generally not recommended because of the enormous costs. The D90 is a good improvement, but if you are looking for a fully digital picture and 5D, then look at the Nikon D700. The camera S & P different cameras that you can not switch brands on a whim or for reasons good "comments." Nikon has chosen for a reason and some are still in force. If you want to experiment with a new brand, buy a medium format digital camera like the Mamiya or Hasselblad.
