Canon Eos 5d Flash

After some time for me to explore the camera now, I have reviewed the new Canon EOS Digital Rebel T1i (500D). This device the latest in a series Digital Rebel (which I call cheaply prosumers models). It lies in the range of $ 600 to $ 800, depending on the accessories and lenses.
For me, the T1i was a giant step in megapixels. My first digital camera was the initial trend of 6.3-megapixel Digital Rebel 300D set that I used for thousands of images in recent years. It worked great for me and I jumped a much updated on the market reaches 15 + megapixel range. If my wonderful wife gave me a big party introduce this new camera.
I ordered on Amazon, it was a few days and started shooting immediately. First thing I had to remember is that the camera kit with the EF-S 18-55 does not feature in Flash Media (used SDHC cards). What Now Canon has been thinking? If I had not thought to read the fine print, have been waiting to get one before I can take my first picture. This is like buying a car, but does not include tires.
Well, with that of form, the camera is great. It has a 3 "LCD screen on the back that shows not only images under consideration, but the settings you have. On most counts, T1i offers the very nice features, said CMOS size 15-megapixel APS-C sensor (for Canon's traditional 1.6x focal length multiplier) and the same system of nine selectable AF points XSI user than its predecessor. The sensor APS-C means it is a "cut" of a vision sensor that captures a bit smaller than traditional 35mm Cameras Canon professional high costs of over $ 2.500 range. I drool thinking about possibilities.
The device has received very good reviews in terms of image quality and I can say that man is the only photographer weak to get a good shot. He has full range of image sizes small.jpg RAW. Shot almost completely in RAW mode (which saves a very large file, but it has all the information available for use in Photoshop).
A really cool feature is that also shoots video. While not as robust as in the EOS 5D Mark II, which supports 30 fps at 1080p capture, video T1i still exceeds that of Nikon D5000 is limited to 24fps 720p. The film quality is solid, but I'll take the 720p 30fps, and avoid high-definition 1920 x 1080, because only 20fps, and the proposal seems a little uneven. You can manually call the autofocus, while you shoot, what is useful, but remember that is slow and fragile. First approach creates shock, but at least you do not stop, discussion, and restart, I prefer to have choice. Like many low-end implementations, using the mono audio (no mic).
I was lucky to draw men tennis tournament in October and got some nice pictures Todd Martin Tennis legends Andre Agassi and Jimmy Arias (among others). The unit has been great in less than perfect lighting for night games. I used the Auto setting and ISO settings range that the camera is fast enough to capture action with some very artistic blur of the ball and snowshoes. Daylight parties allowed me to set the camera at shutter speeds very rapid freezing of yellow tennis balls in full flight and players at half time with his feet on the ground.
Those Auto ISO took me some trouble weeks later, when I was in the mountains trying to get images of autumn colors with auto exposure bracketing (AEB). AEB I used before and works very well and spend great opportunities for HDR merging moves later. However, it makes sense when shooting in Auto-bracketing Auto ISO is to turn Automatically Not all situations of conflict and create an image to delete everything in its most boring. Now I know better.
Overall the Canon camera is great T1i amateurs and professionals involved cost. I'll stick with it until you can find a way to get one of the big boys Canon. I hope that many years of shooting and learning about how to capture the beauty of nature in a digital image.

"I can convert my xD cards in the CF?
Good morning. I changed from an Olympus camera a Canon EOS 5D DSLR. I have xD memory cards 2 Olympus 2 GB for me that I'd CF save money. I saw many "compact flash memory card xD CF Adapter II for sale on the web. Are they reliable? Does my CF II CF EOS 5D or should I? Thank you for your help!
Yes, you can use the converter xD CF. Because they already have large xD cards, the price is worth the drive. I have used without problems in a variety of different cameras CF manufacturers, but not the models you mentioned. I can not imagine that it would not work very well, but probably double check the manual of the EOS to be sure it is not an unknown problem.
