How to choose a lens for the Canon EOS 5D?
I am completely new to photography. How in the world does this work? Also how do you edit photos when you take pictures with the Canon EOS 5D? Is there some kind of software that comes with it or do you have to buy something?
Confused.

How to edit? For starters, if you get it right in-camera, you won’t need to edit but if you insist, just copy your picture from the camera to the computer and use any program you wish. Photoshop is the most popular. You were able to afford such a fine camera, buying a few good books about Photoshop shouldn’t hurt you. There are also a lot of tutorial sites on the web, some for free.

Software? If you don’t shoot in RAW (I advise you don’t), you won’t need any software in the CD. Just keep that CD in a safe place though. You may need it someday. For transferring pictures to the computer, everything you need is already in your computer. For trouble-free transfers, get a cheap (really cheap, not expensive) USB card reader for connecting your camera’s memory card directly to the computer.
