Canon Eos 5d Weight

Canon Rebel XSi – great camera for beginner photographers
I am an avid photographer has been using the Canon Rebel XSi for six months and here are my impressions.
Weight Handling: First, the camera is really light. If someone tells you that this device is heavy, then you've probably never held a full-frame professional digital SLR. The light weight makes it a joy to carry while traveling. However, serious photographers or professional may consider that the small size and weight provide a sense of unprofessional. In addition, it is a minor point, but the shot is a high-pitched noise from several professional cameras have a discreet low noise. This camera not too many buttons, compared to Nikon cameras. Instead, most of which are more specialized functions accessible via menus. Some People find it very boring. Personally, I do not. Also, if you have large hands, will have a difficult to maintain a comfortable grip of the camera that the adhesion is low. If this is the case, consider buying the optional handle.
Image Quality: With ISO settings image quality is very good low and I really did a professional portrait shot using this camera. The 12 megapixels enough to make good impressions 8x12inch, and ideal situations to deal with a good lens, good lighting, exposure, etc., you may be able to draw impressions 12x18inch. At ISO 800 and above, the noise becomes noticeable and if you use a lot of sharpness, the images appear quite unpleasant. However, if you stay away from sharpness to high ISO, a small amount of noise reduction software should take care of most problems. Therefore, this camera is not very good in low light situations and moving subjects, such as holidays. For this reason, I consider the upgrade to the 5D for better noise management. And remember, the image quality has more to do with good objective has to do with the number of megapixels of the camera.
Kit Objective: The objective of the kit is sufficient to address needs fundamentals of photography. My personal copy of the lens is very sharp in the center, but that may not be as lucky. The focus ring is very low, So if you are a kind of manual focus person you want to find a new target very quickly. Also, if you want to take pictures of their kids playing sports or indoor pictures with a lot of movement of people, consider making a target more quickly. For sport, I recommend the 55-250 IS, 70-300IS, or if you can afford the 70-200 2.8L. photography indoors and low light, consider increasing your kit with a main objective, as the 50mm 1.8, 50mm 1.4, or you know the benefits of L-series Canon lens is probably not necessary for you is more objective.
Other Topics: camera with flash almost useless to take pictures of people in low light. Why? Since Canon's engineers have decided must have a kind of fast flash squalls 10.05 to help the various sensors of the camera. Believe me, their songs are not aware of his shot as flash OFF a machine gun in front of his face. I recommend an external flash like the 430EX or 420EX if you have found this camera to solve this problem. Nikon users will not face the problem.
Overall Impressions: If you have just entered the world of digital SLR or you are a photo enthusiast short of money (like me), the Canon Rebel XSi is an excellent choice to start with a combination of skills, your equipment is capable of producing good results. In addition, by choosing Canon has access to the largest selection of lenses. I had some great pictures with this camera and I plan to keep around. However, they also may want to assess the Canon 40D and Nikon D90.
