Canon Eos 7d Battery Grip
Battery grip for Canon question?

The Canon grip is £149.95

http://www.jessops.com/Directory/catalogue.ashx/$s=battery%20grip%207d

But the Ebay equivalent is just £22.36

Has anyone ever used one of these cheap copies?

The knockoff’s are questionable. Having said that, my battery grip is the same one sold for my camera by the maker for $250, that I got from Hong Kong for $45. Only thing different is the silk screen maker name on the front, which isn’t on mine.

Look a little closer, you may get lucky.

Vello BG-C4 Battery Grip dying too fast?

So for Christmas I got the Canon EOS 7d and I bought myself the Vello BG-C4 Battery Grip from B&hphoto.com (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/697333-REG/Vello__BG_C4_Battery_Grip_for.html) This thing keeps dying within like 20 minutes. Should I send it back? Am I just doing something wrong? Someone help me out.

1 LP-E6 is 7.4v and rated at 2600 mAh. The battery grip you have will hold two of these. That will endure a 5.2 A discharge for an hour before needing recharging if it has a C1 rating. If it is dying after 20 minutes it is the same as drawing 15.7 A in 20 minutes. I don’t think your camera is using that much current because that would be 116 Watts of power and you couldn’t hold your camera because it would be too hot! Therefore, something is wrong with your charger or battery.
