What device should I do?

I currently have a Canon Rebel XSi and I'm in photography and plan to photograph / film my career. But for video, all I have is a Sanyo digital camera recently. I thought to spare for Canon HV20, which extends about 1.300 to 1.500 dollars. The videos on youtube, I saw that were filmed with that, the quality is really nice. BUT, there is another device called the EOS 7D. Which has a high capacity video and photos. I know two photographers and filmmakers who use this staff. I think it must be kept for the 7D, as well as Full HD video and still has some nice pictures. After purchasing one, your XSi will not be necessary.
