Camera 450D – Good entry level dslr

I bought my 450D House in January, before a trip to photograph wildlife in India. It was my first foray into the world of digital SLR (or best SLR) photography, and is another kettle of fish to my experience of the point and shoot cameras. With 12 megapixels, RAW capability, trigger mode adjustable (at one time or followed – for moving subjects!), nine points of focus, white balance adjustment and a host of other features, the flexible entry-level DSLR like the 450D gives more compact device opens a world of possibilities – and now thanks to lower prices is within reach its average fan like me.

The kit lens (18-55mm wide angle zoom), the 450D is supplied with the camera is very good, but the real advantage is its compatibility with series of high quality Canon L – where you really get to see a difference in image quality. I borrowed a 5.6 telephoto zoom lens EF 100-400mm lens with IS (image stabilizer), and I bought a EF 70-200mm zoom is 4.0, and the results can (Sometimes) be amazing. Because the sensor on the 450D is the smallest in the upper end of the canons, the advantage for shooting distance using telephoto lenses is that you get an additional magnification of 1.6x, although this a problem for shooting wide angle.

There are a variety of tools available shooting modes – fully automatic (where the camera more or less decide the shutter speed and aperture shutter is enough), aperture priority (which set the aperture and the camera chooses the appropriate shutter speed) priority to the shutter speed (vice versa) and the full manual. At first, I found mostly in the shooting mode Aperture Priority. The disadvantage I find with this is that if the light was perfect, the shutter speed is often very slow – and for shooting moving subjects with a heavy hand zoom, tremor the device can often be a problem even with the IS of the operation (now always run in manual mode and the often slightly underexposed images with a faster shutter speed will give in the knowledge that can improve the quality of the image on your computer.)

The 450D camera lets you adjust the ISO sensitivity of 100-1600, for shooting in different lighting conditions. However, in practice, I found that over 400 can lead to significant noise (grain) occurring in the images – and indeed this may be a problem even at 400.

The autofocus on a shooting mode is very sensitive and accurate, however I found that it may be slow to follow directions, focus is often not a bird in flight, when followed for up to five or six seconds. This can be very frustrating and has led to some missed opportunities. I do not know if it's a general fault with the camera 450D, or specific for my camera, but it's annoying!

All SLR Canon Canon EOS is equipped with proprietary software, which lets you adjust color saturation, brightness and contrast their plans. If RAW format images, you can also adjust the exposure, shooting mode (portrait, landscape, black and white, etc.) and color balance. I never found a used Photoshop software from Canon to be brilliant, and have not taken a picture that could not improve.

A few complaints except me very happy with the 450D camera. You get many features for the relatively few books, and if you can afford a lens L series or two, you'll be able to take great pictures.
