Does the Canon EOS Rebel X 35mm lenses fit my Rebel XS digital?
I am thinking of buying a Canon EOS Rebel X 35 mm that came with 3 lenses that I have found on craigslist for a good deal. Are they going to fit into my Rebel XS digital?
Short answer, yes. Long answer, the lenses with 35 mm are the objectives EF and EF all fit in the digital Rebels. Canon also makes the EF-S, which are made specifically to meet the digital Rebel, but not 35 mm.

Is it safe to use old Canon lenses on a new EOS 1000D?
I had a Nikon D40x The manual had a list of objectives which could not be used, fully equipped.
I accept mounting EF and EF-S (Autofocus Canon also called on manufacturers Lens by others). FD lenses Florida or not to accept or whatever before that date. And the decision framework and objectives FL do not adapt well if I had to buy an adapter, which basically turned into a macro lens. With the exception of some third objective should be re-chipped, if anything either will work. In reality, the full-frame cameras are the objectives they are less fit, he will not accept EF-S as elements of glass extend too far into the body and the mirror hit the target. crop sensor cameras, like your EOS 1000, a small mirror above for more space free. The 1000 is also called the EOS XS, which should not be confused with the XSi.
