help the camera needs to know if this flash is compatible with my camera?
Hi I have a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi and want to buy a flash for that a Canon Speedlite 580EX II Speedlite Flash or a 40ex canon ll be able to work with him
Your camera can use all the flashes Canon EX series. This includes the 220EX, I do not recommend the 420EX, 430EX, 430EXII, 580EX and 580EXII. Out of them, I get the 430EXII. The 580 is a great flash, but probably more than necessary. If on a budget find a used 420EX. None of the EZ series flashes work properly do not bother with them.

The 20D in my opinion, is really the beginning of the chamber in line with Canon image quality really good inherent in sensors. The 30D adds bells and whistles, including counting, the 20D does not. The 20D camera power and a good value if the constraints are for you. If not, has the 30D offers a bit more and is also an excellent value between the models currently available.

I was very happy with my Canon 20D since I bought while serving in Iraq in 2005. The aircraft was handling brutal and does well in different climates.
From personal experience, it does not work well when the temperature drops below 20 degrees or over 130 fine. It is not waterproof. There is evidence of sand. However, it takes pictures very clear and once you learn to drive and offers ways at the beginning and experienced photographers. I used the flash 512 KB to 8 MB with no problem despite having used several brands.
I love my 20D and have been used to document many important events. Before, I used a 10D with the same pleasure. Now that the 30D and 40D have been released, the 20D should be available for a song.

This unit is definitely worth Rebel strengthened if you really take seriously on photography as a hobby.

Is a great camera – even for beginners
Recently, I decided to take digital photography seriously when I tried to photograph my son to play guitar in a concert with a point and digital camera. I missed all the important shots because of delays in filming which is inherent in most point and shoot cameras. I was very interested in a more expensive configuration, while the Canon Rebel XT had a dramatic Price ~ $ 800. I recommend the Speedlite 580EX external flash indoors and excellent Candids portraits inside. I pointed to the ceiling Speedlite and bounce the light to achieve very natural, diffused light. Do not use Flash embedded in this forum – will not be successful. Vaccinations will have pictures as normal point and shoot when you use the flash. Also, make at least a 2GB Memory Card – SanDisk Ultra II is the way forward, because they have a speed writing fast enough to support the shooting. I can fit about 450 Fine JPEG shots on a single disk, which is more than enough for an amateur like me. I'm going to RAW very quickly once you learn the basics of Photoshop Elements 5.0, and probably be handy for ~ 30% fewer shots on the drive, then you probably spring a backup disk.
I shot at least 4000 hits to date with this camera since purchasing the Labour Day 2006 and have had no problems whatsoever. This is a great body of the camera, I'm sure I'm fine for years to come.

Canon EOS 40D, 5D or 1Ds?
I'm looking to upgrade my Rebel XTi and am having difficulty choosing between a Canon EOS 40D, 5D and 1DS. I do a lot of portrait work and landscapes. Im a photographer working my way up leads that photography is my profession. The 40D and 5D are more in my price range, but I'm gonna be keeping this unit for a long time and I want to make sure that making a good investment. What device do you recommend for my type of work? Also I have a EF 50mm f/1.4 my Rebel. Im pretty goal that is compatible with the 40D, but for the 5D and 1Ds? Additional information: * I have a Canon Speedlite 580EX II Flash but use lots of natural light, so I need a camera that works well in all situations lighting. * Since I also intend to use the camera in children (babies and small) I need a camera that is fast!

I would go with the 40D. There are more benefits to the appropriate choice any other device. The first is the new technology, you have the live view, which is great with children, you can keep your face clear of engaging the child. Second, you have 6.5 frames per second, this camera is the fastest in the 3 mentioned above, also very good with children. Now Make no mistake, the 5D and 1DS are superior compared to the 40D, but for the price and additional benefits I think the 40D is good for you. The other thing is, not a bad thing to have a 40D and a 5D on the road. The two devices complement each other and make a good seal any photographer.
