I thought about the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 and Canon G10. I like the LX3 24mm and small, but as the 5x zoom into the G-10 plus a waterproof case available. G-10 is probably the closest shoot camera to a digital SLR. I bought this to compliment my DSLR every time you need something more practical and easy to use. The quality of the lens is excellent (very close to DSLR lenses) and can go very wide. The IS works very well and always surprises me that gives me high quality images even in low light.
