What are the basic steps you can take to take great pictures?

I used a Canon Digital IXUS 750 as I can not afford one SLR camera, but I'm the fee 450 for my birthday next year or so I hear.

Plan your shots. Think about why we are shooting the way when you're shooting. Shoot the same subject in many ways. Not much reading. Knowledge is power.
