Would my digital camera charge up if I connect it to my computer?
I have a Canon IXUS 950IS camera but I do not have the battery charger. Would the battery charge uo if I connect it to my laptop via a USB cable?

You can try. Not all USB connectors can used for charging though. Some are just for data transfer.
