Digital camera. HELP!?

Two things – batteries. Both these cameras have rechargeable batteries. That's fine if you're near a mains supply or keep a car / mains charger. It is likely carrying a spare battery can be recharged in the can. A camera that takes AA batteries would be better. Not only can lead to a set of rechargeable batteries and Charger disposable but you can get most places. There are even solar chargers for AA batteries. Rechargeable AA are also useful for flashlights, radios and a of those little things adapter, emergency power for mobile phones. Second there is robustness. None of these cameras are built to survive any manipulation abrupt. And wet overnight will kill them if you get caught in the rain. Enlargement lenses are prone to getting sand, grit and fluff there that traffic jams which makes the camera useless. Look at getting one of the waterproof, dustproof, shockproof, freezer offered by most manufacturers.
