How come I can not see any view on sceen my digital camera? everything is black. is a Canon IXUS i5.

I have a Canon IXUS i5 Camera digital. I do not use it for long enough. but when I tried to use it later, had no view on the screen. everything is black. tried to take a picture but when we seek is all black even. I could not see any pictures stored on the memory card. is all black screen

Did you push the 'disp button? In my camera is close to the screen. It sets on the screen, additional information or off. But we have to show photos stored on the card regardless of the setting of this button, at least it does in mine. In that case could be broken and the best go to a camera shop.
