Canon IXUS 950IS or 900TI?

I am thinking of buying a new camera and want your opinion on which model to buy. The main differences appear be compared 8MP 10MP, Zoom x 3 versus 4 x zoom, face detection software and colures 950 outside the body of the camera. If anyone has experience with these models eny would appreciate your comments.

I have the Ti 900 and I love the camera – so it is. It is my "pocket camera" for use when I want dragged into the digital SLR. I'll be back later tonight and give full information, but you can go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/samfeinstein/tags/SD900 to see a dozen examples. I also used an IXUS 800 for a few test shots before giving as a gift to my daughter. This camera led to the IXUS 950. View http://www.flickr.com/photos/samfeinstein/tags/sd700 for a couple of shots and take into account that the IXUS 950 should be nothing but better. It is a matter of comparing the larger sensor to the advantage of "IS" but I have to run now and I will return to this issue later tonight. (8 or 10 hours from now) ~~~~~~~~ agreement, I'm back as had been promised. I have two stock answers that I will post here and let you read and decide. It would be very difficult for me to choose between these cameras today. I love the larger sensor in the 900, but can not ignore the "YES" in the 950-IS. I was thinking of buying the IXUS 800-IS for my personal pocket camera, but were sold out for months and left me re-evaluate that choice. With the upgrade processor in the 950-SE, I think I almost have to flip a coin. I would appreciate power zoom too, but I think the MP 10 offers the possibility of growing to more or less the same picture as the 140 mm (equivalent) lens in the 800-IS. I doubt that could match the 950-ES by the crop however, as the camera has a couple of MP to work. Anyway, here's the answer number one on the Ti 900, the I mean with the name U.S. SD900: After answering the questions here for about 8 months, I finally decided to have an Canon Powershot SD900. After about one month of using the SD900, I am very happy with it I bought a gift for my niece as an engagement present. I'm sure the camera. It is difficult to keep day with a bloom of new cameras, but I think the SD900 is still the top. It has 10 MP and SD is the only one that has the highest 1/1.8 "sensor, which is almost twice as large as the sensor in any of the other SD cameras. In general, this translates into better image quality with less noise. It's the one I bought the camera as my own pocket. Here are a couple of reviews for the SD900: http://www.steves-digicams.com/2006_reviews http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canonsd900/ / Be sd900.html http://web1.popphoto.com/cameras/3468/test-canon-powershot-sd900-digital-elph.html sure to note that the reviews are many pages long so do not stop after the first page. Check the sample images, too. You can enlarge images to full size by clicking the link below the image. You then have to put the cursor in the blank space to the right of the image and click once. After that, you can move the cursor over the image and become a magnifying glass. Click on it as a magnifier once and the image will be full size and can actually discuss the details or look for artifacts such as halo or noise. Here is put a photo online that I took with the SD900. Click "All Sizes" and that view as large as possible and check out the birds. (They are not noise digital!) Look at the tips of the branches of trees to assess the sharpness. This was taken just after sunset and there was no improvement in afterprocessing. http://www.flickr.com/photos/7189769 @ N04/409551806 / Here is another photo with no post-processing at all. It was taken in the full 111 mm (equivalent) zoom. It was taken in the fully automatic mode without me help at all. The horizon is crooked because the camera was resting on top of my car. I did not want to change anything, because this is part of a series of images 3, compared with crop optical zoom digital zoom. You can view photos while you're there and see why optical zoom is all matters. http://www.flickr.com/photos/7189769 @ N04/459603923 / ~~~~~~~~ If you want to see the photos SD900, go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/samfeinstein/tags / SD900 From there, you can also choose "All public photos with the SD900 label" if desired. Some of these photos are not as beautiful as they are for illustrate a point in search of answers, but you can still see the image to evaluate the quality. If they have been altered, mention that in the description. Here is my answer about the IXUS 950-IS, I mean with the name U.S. SD850-IS: Please look at the new Canon Powershot SD850-IS. This is a very versatile camera that does not stand in their way to travel. It has a good zoom range that will bring viable from broad scenics views decent tele. Look at some sample images of revisions to the SD700-IS get the idea of what to cover this objective. It has image stabilization, which really works. Small enough to fit in a shirt pocket. You have a rechargeable battery is good for 200-250 shots, depending on how much zoom and see what you do or how many shots using flash. A spare battery is 1 ¾ "x 1 ¼ x ¼" and the charger is barely twice that size, so carrying the spare tire is easy and packing the charger is easy. It has an optical viewfinder that can be useful when the sun is too bright to see the image on the LCD monitor. I could go on, but you can read some reviews and see what the pro say. You can also check the full report on the SD700 IS-clicking on that option. Improvements to the SD850 IS include Canon Processor DIGIC III image instead of DIGIC II MP 8 MP instead of 6 Maximum ISO 1600 instead of ISO 800 accepts up to 4 GB memory card instead of 2 GB LCD has a better image Face detection I made a list of them in the order of importance, in my opinion. The first two are the ones that really count the most and the rest are just gravy.

* Locate your children at any time and even automatic registration in the phone GPS tracking.

* Pay-as-you-go service unconditionally and without worries.

* No contracts no setup fee, no surprise bills.

* A full range of command line intuitive help parents set limits.

* Budget rates using voice and text. Easily customize to meet the needs of your family.

* Manage your child to talk and what time of day.

* Talk, text, pix, and play. All of your children could want in a phone Cell.

* Nation wide coverage

* A service that puts children first, while allowing parents to take control of the service

* All these features free!

* Full Blown phones in every pocket, thin phones, phones conference, a phone with full keyboard

* Ways to add money to your account, credit card, current account, and PayPal, even.

These are certainly all the features I wanted on the phone with my child. You can not go wrong with a son loves his phone, a phone that allows complete control over the parents of the service, and helps teach your child responsibility.
