Canon Ixus With Viewfinder

Do I need an image viewer in my Canon Ixus 70?
I'm arguing with my wife to get a Canon Ixus 70 or 75. She wants 70 coz its got a spectator, I want the 75 coz its got a bigger screen and I am a man! Her argument is that the viewer will be useful if the battery is low and when the light is too bright to see the screen. Can I turn off the screen and just use the viewfinder to save battery?
Recently, I treated the SD750 (IXUS 75) and SD1000 (IXUS 70) and has a definite opinion now in favor of the SD1000. The SD1000 IS Camera Digital Photo I think smaller Ai never seen, is even easier to handle than the SD750. You can view "most" because you're a man, but – Believe me – you want those tiny buttons just to be bigger because you're a man. These cameras replaced the SD600 (SD1000 – IXUS 70) and SD630 (SD750 – - IXUS 75). They are DARN similar previous models and the other. The new cameras will accept an SDHC memory card, however, and Face Detection. Also use the new DIGIC III image processor, which Canon is the state of the art version. (The other is the DIGIC II.) The SD1000 (IXUS 70) has a viewfinder optics and could be the tiebreaker for me. (See below) The multifunction button and other buttons on the SD750 (IXUS 75) are very small, hard news and hard to read compared to controls SD1000 (IXUS 70). I guess that's the price to pay for another half-inch screen LCD taking up space in the back of the camera. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/compare_post.asp?method=sidebyside&cameras=canon_sd750 2Ccanon_sd1000% & Show = all information in this page is bad, though, on which he has an optical viewfinder and no. ACT = ProductCompareNWAct fcategoryid = 145 & model = 14901 & optical viewers who aspire to optical viewfinder and I would choose any device with an optical viewfinder over one that only has an LCD screen. Why? 1. You the option never turn off the LCD and the battery of eating these things for lunch and spit. Why remove the possibility of a viewfinder which has zero leakage current? 2. It can be difficult to see the image on an LCD screen in bright sunlight, even if "new and improved". 3. You must keep an LCD screen at a distance in front of your face. This is more I prefer to be visible at all times. 4. The need to hold a camera, arms stretched to make a few jolts. I like the idea of stabilizing a camera against my face when I'm taking a picture. This is particularly important with a higher zoom lens. No wonder that the image stabilization "or" vibration reduction is necessary with these cameras. Not that Nothing wrong with IS or VR but in reality is a requirement with LCD viewfinders and telephoto lenses. 5. Using the LCD to see photos after making the camera slows down considerably. You can not close the LCD and still take pictures if you no optical viewfinder.
