Canon Ixus Zoom Review
I just bought the Canon IXUS 970 IS after reading good reviews … but now after reading a bit more …?
… I am concerned if I made the right decision? I just need for making this point and click pictures of vacations, but as an upgrade from a cyberspace 7.1 i broke it. I guess I wanted a better quality of pictures of nature and scenic shots, and take good pictures at night, something that was not my sony good! I also wanted a good investment, there is something i would not have to upgrade at least for a couple of years or so. A lot of comments said that the camera was pretty mediocre and worth getting a cheaper model. I liked the appeal of the 5x optical zoom and image stabilization. Does a person own these or can anyone share their opinion of what they think of the camera for example, advantages and disadvantages? " Thank you very much and sorry for the question quite clear, I think it was a bit quick to take a decision on buying this so dear to make sure I bought a nice little game (arrives tomorrow!) Greetings, Sam
I have used only Canon for over 10 years and with five different cameras. I was the SD1100, inexpensive and compact. For better pictures and movies, get the Canon G9 or G-7 (G-10 has no high-definition video) If you want a great movie and compact / pictures get the SD780's new out. Canon Ixus Zoom Review
Ultra-Compact High image quality, wide zoom – which device is best?
I want to buy an ultra compact for travel and social photos (The outdoor and low light) that takes excellent pictures and has the highest possible optical zoom. I was torn between the Sony DSC-T100 and Canon Ixus 950 (also known and SD850 IS). Its characteristics are very similar role – Sony has 5x optical zoom compared to the canons of 4x, but the big difference will that do? On the other hand, the Canon has apparently a much better picture quality. Both have less zoom I really wanted. The Kodak V610 10x zoom, but tests are very disappointing – poor image quality. In addition, Fuji is due to release of the FinePix Z100fd (ultra compact 8 megapixel 5x Zoom, IS) in October, which is very similar to Sony on the paper. What is the best camera? I read many reviews and still can not decide. Are there other ultra compact cameras out there that have excellent image quality, but with a high optical zoom, or should I wait for a room larger size to get arrested?
Both devices seem wise specifications very similar, then maybe you should look at other factors such as memory cards and batteries. Both devices use a special battery, so there is no difference … The Canon uses a little longer available and cheaper SD memory cards, while Sony uses its proprietary Memory Stick. Who, with facial recognition and image quality is slightly better Canon on top for me.
