i’m looking for a cheap sigma 70 – 200mm F2.8 canon lens can anyone help?

my husband has just hit me 2 weeks before his birthday that he wants a sigma 70 – 200mm F2.8 canon fit lens. i’ve looked on ebay and other sites to see how much they are selling for and they are really expensive. i was wondering if anyone knew where i could get one second hand one for about £100 if so please can you let me know. it doesn’t have to be in england so long as the person can post it.

70-200mm f2.8 is a very common lens, you don’t get much price drop in 2nd hand market. surely not down to £100 or it must be broken. yea, forget searching used lens in that price range. frankly, there is almost no lens that fit £100 budget, £100 can give you a good filter only.
maybe buy him other accessory, such as a colorchecker, Adobe Lightroom, color printer, backpack, etc.

I bought one of these a year or so ago. It was absolute junk. It was not sharp and vignetted at the corners. Back when I got mine it was only $29.95 on eBay and not worth that either. It was so bad I got no bids when I tried to resell it on eBay with a $.99 opening bid! I finally just threw it away because I would have been embarrassed to give it to anyone I knew.
The Canon EF-S 55-250 IS zoom lens is fairly reasonably priced and I have one for my XSi. It is an excellent picture taker. Save your money for a bit if you have to, and get something good which you will be able to get good pictures with.
