Canon Lenses Beginner
CANON 450D AND NIKON D80 which one to choose ?
after a long research and my requirements i have segregated two models for me which suits me all the way price and performance as a beginner.
CANON 450D AND NIKON D80.
i am too much confused which one to choose D80 is semi pro and 450D is entry level but in some point better then d80 like cmos sensor 3″ LCD dust reduction, live view and digic III sensor. it is really hard to decide which one to go for. i really need some good advise to decide which one to buy and why ? i also need good suggestions for lenses also. i want to buy two lens one is telephoto and second is wide angle. but keep in mind at this moment i cant afford too much costly lens at all. wildlife landscapes and nature photography are my area for photos.
thanks.
Many people will give you advice based on their choice, you must handle the two cameras and see which you like the feel of the best.I went for a 10-20mm Sigma wide angle for landscape work and an 18-200mm Nikkor for my Nikon,(Canon make similar lenses) I use an old 70-300mm for natural history but am looking for something like a 500mm prime lens,as the good zoom lenses in that range are a bit slower and very expensive, unless you are doing it for a living.I chose a Nikon D200 as it is heavily discounted now the 300 has come out,and I already had some Nikon compatible equipment. The kit lenses are quite adequate for starters but you may wish to consider different focal lengths and buy a body to start with and add on later.

Canon XL2 for beginner?
Should I buy Canon XL2 if I’m just starting to shoot my own videos?
Is it possible to carry it around on a backpacking trip? XL2 seems like a very good camcorder for wildlife, plus I have some Nikon lenses from my DSLR.
its a great cam and can be easily used in ‘auto’ mode.
but for the money get hdv.
they are generally lighter and smaller and will do a better job.
