Canon Lenses Cnet
Buying a DSLR!?
I'm in the market for a digital SLR, with a budget of around £ 1,000 (~ $ 2,000), but could stretch up to £ 1400 (~ $ 2750) if needed. I am very interested in photography and take my regular point and shoot everywhere, but as far as functionality goes, simply will not cut it anymore! Although dpreview and CNET are great, right now I am looking for advice that is not so focused on technical jargon (AMS …?)! CMOS I I shoe horn in a limited range of lenses of property and receives a Sony Alpha, or go mainstream and get a Canon or Nikon? independent body and the lens face or a body and the kit lens? Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated! Help this amateur! Thanks!
The Sony Alpha 200 is a good camera, and the level of Nikon and Canon entry. I do not agree with the poster of another kind, of Canon The user may not necessarily easier. Ergonomics and feel are a much more staff (eg, for me, I think quite the opposite – Nikon are better for me). Similarly, when it comes to the kit lens, the Canon kit lens have a reputation so-so, while the Nikon kit lenses are actually decent lenses. With your budget and level of experience, I would not recommend trying to buy the camera too. Instead stick to the entry-level cameras in the U.S. $ 500 – $ 600 range, which would be the series D40/Canon Rebel XT Nikon cameras. I would also add in the cost of the accessories you want – like a telephoto zoom (55-200mm zoom for example), a camera bag, maybe a flash shoe, etc. What I suggest is the following: 1) handle all the cameras is interested and can afford, if that is the Canon Rebel XT, Nikon D40, Nikon D60, Canon Alpha, etc 2) choose the camera that feels good in your hands, you have the buttons in the right places for you, good ergonomics, a menu system of quality and build quality you like, etc 3) In addition to the kit lens, you can add accessories that I mentioned earlier. The reason I say to stick with the kit lens is that most shoot the fans exactly in the range of zoom lenses used by the kit. There is a reason why companies unite photo. Unless you know why you want * another lens instead of the kit lens, you should stick with the kit lens. Basically, people who know why the kit lens does not work for them are the ones who will know what other goal to be achieved and why they should do it. You are not reached that point. Moreover, foreigners can not tell you what they really are shooting or what their real needs. Therefore, taking the camera with the kit lens, and then grow from there.
