Canon Lenses Compared
feedback for Canon Rebel XS and Olympus E420 Digital SLR Camera?

I'm trying to decide between these two cameras. Canon is about $ 70 more. I've never bought an SLR camera before. Which is better? I think I might get more life out of the Canon and can use more time. For example, if I wanted to upgrade, I could only improve the lenses without getting a new camera. Is that true? I need information on these two cameras. Compare and contrast.

I have the xs and has a superior image quality and yes you can buy better lenses, but the kit lens that comes with it is not all bad. I do not know much about the Olympus.
