Camera error 99?

I just received my new lens of a lens dealer reputation on eBay. They stated that the goal was in good condition unless the auto focus was broken. I have included this lens to my Canon EOS Rebel K2 Canon XT Canon 2000 In each chamber, pressing the shutter I get a snap incomplete filling. It's the same three cameras, with the exception of my digital camera to an error 99 while the other did not. My cameras all the work perfectly with myother lenses. Any idea what is wrong with the lens?

The first thing to do is clean the contact lens with a draft pencil. If one of these contacts is dirty, it can cause the error you are experiencing. If this fails, you need to send off the lens to have it serviced.
