My brand new Canon 50mm 1.4 lens is "sqeaking "…. Does anyone know if this is an important problem? Or something common?
I just bought a new brand (from a Canon dealer known) of 50 mm 1.4 Canon lens. I've noticed that when in AF, and especially when in a lower f # that squeaks slightly when trying to concentrate. None of my other zoom lenses to do this. I have a wedding to do this weekend and I neeeeed this goal. Is this lol is going to fall apart or is not uncommon for this type of lens? Thanks!
I've been using my new Canon Rebel XSi a few months ago, and the only noise I notice a very slight rattle when using autofocus, and a number of minutes "hits" by using "action" burst mode. Nothing resembles a "Squeek", however, with any of my lenses.

You do not need to be a professional photographer to benefit from a system component. But if you want to become a professional, you must follow this path. What is a component of the system? This is a group equipment that makes the image a viable tool for the management of variety of shooting situations. At least it is a camera body and several interchangeable lenses. You can include independent exposure meters, filters, flashes, and more. When you enter the system components are increasing in price, but you can build these systems over time without breaking your bank account. If you are really serious about wanting fantastic photos is the only way.
A size does not fit all
When shopping for a camera system, should approach their selection process in much the same you buy clothes. The train will be and feel good. House designs vary. Some feel more comfortable than others. Find the ideal is an individual thing. As works very well for a photographer can not function well at all for another. You have to manage different brands and types material to find what is good for you.
Most photographers get serious with a 35 mm systems. A jump right in a few large format cameras but they are the exception not the rule. When I say this, I'm talking about amateur photographers. Many professionals start with a large format equipment, which gives them distinct advantages in certain types of work.
Medium Format
Medium format cameras are used to take pictures professional wedding and studio environments. The big advantage is the size of the negative. It is much larger than its cousin 35 mm. This makes it easier to adjust and trim. If you plan to enter the darkroom and super high-quality portraits, medium format system is the way forward. Most photographers, however, are better served by the versatility of 35 mm.
Choose a brand that can endure.
When you choose a particular brand of camera to build a system component at all, must be cautious. After starting with a brand, you should stick with him. There Many brands of cameras available that will give you professional-quality photos. Some brands have more lenses and accessories than others. This is important for someone who built a vast system.
When I think of professional 35mm equipment, two brand names come to mind. Other equipment manufacturers from 35 mm to obtain some professional attention, but it is clear that there are two, maybe three leaders. In the medium format equipment, name is king, while others must be respected. You do not have to buy from the best known brands to get a good service and quality, but not hurt. The key is to choose a brand that can develop. Check -Bull Opinion Photographers of the World Recent Reviews of all equipment.
How do you know what brand of camera work? Several factors may play a role in his decision. The amount of money you're willing to spend on various types of equipment is a factor. names classes of high prices. You can go with a name less known to get good quality for a lower price. But make sure your camera has a Budget tight enough lenses and accessories available to keep life interesting how your skills and interests grow.
My first camera 35mm is a Minolta ®. It was a good camera that gave me thousands of beautiful pictures. This brand is respected among professionals and offers a wide variety of choices for creating a system component. When he became a new level of photography, I switched to Canon ® equipment, we still use today. I love it! Canon is a major competitor in the professional market. Over the years, I spent much $ 10,000 to develop my system. Nikon ® is known for its reputation among professionals. The name is almost synonymous with professionals. Each of these brands provide more options than most people can afford to buy. And there are other good brands like Olympus ® for high quality products choose.
Before buying a camera body, research your options. See a list of what accessories are available in the brand. Check prices for different brands. If you can see there is a depth of support and attachments at ease with price ranges, you 're well on your way to choose a brand. Managing multiple operating the cameras and photo shop. Having someone in the shop running through all the controls you. After buying his first camera, you set the tone for the entire system. Do not do until Are you sure you like the brand.
Lens Quality
generic lenses can be used in most housings, but this is cons-productive. Why pay a small fortune for a professional camera body, then place a coin Keep the lens the? It makes no sense. Their objectives have a significant impact on the quality of your pictures. Try and keep all purchases within the same brand. This general produce the best results.
Many people do not know what type of camera you want, even after buying a new camera photo. If you have not been buying, however, I can say that the cameras are not cheap. Maybe you know some people with cameras. It would probably be happy to share their experiences with you. Ask if you can go with them on your next photo excursion. Some photographers are very protective of their orders, so do not get too close when you ask. Using equipment from other people in a real fire is an excellent way to identify their needs and desires.
Used
The cameras are like cars, they are very expensive to the state nine and lost a lot of value once they are used. Some types and brands of cameras hold their value very well, but most have not. If you're ready to buy used equipment, you can save a ton of money. Well, maybe not a ton, but many things. You can pay half price or less, in the purchase of equipment used. There are risks associated with buying off the march. Note I said broken undecomposed. Let's talk about some of them.
There are three basic methods for the purchase of equipment Photo used. You can check one of the listings of many mail order, go to your local camera store or look at ads, where People sell their old equipment. If you're dealing with a reputable company, you should get some kind of protection of cameras that are unnecessary. Buy person to another does not offer this protection.
If you know enough about the type of art you're purchasing, you can try before you buy. As it is not yet what kind of knowledge, a reputable dealer who sells used equipment is probably your best choice. Dealerships charge more than most sellers do, but you should get a little peace of mind to higher prices you pay.
Whether you are buying from, get a full demonstration of the team before handing your money. Have all manuals and documentation to accompany the camera and accessories. If there is no documentation available, you can go to the sale and continue your search. You can order copies this manual original manufacturer, but do not expect that to be the case. Used offers an economical and reasonable to enter the field photography, but make sure that Purchase new is in good condition.
Choice of Champions
The most versatile type of camera, you can buy is 35 mm. You can do almost anything with this type of platform. Large-format and medium enterprises have certain advantages over units 35 mm, but the practice is 35 mm, by far the most popular. This popularity is well founded.
What makes the system of 35 mm so desirable? It is light and easy to use. The cost of 35mm equipment is much lower than that of larger sizes. You can equip a body of 35-mm camera with a zoom answer most of the picture needs without having to change lens. Many zoom lenses incorporate an important role in the lens so you can shoot anything cons insects to aircraft with the same lens.
If you want to get serious about photography and build a system of components, the format 35 mm is most likely to be the best option. If you buy a name brand senior, you will find a decent offer endless accessories to add to your collection. Gee, I wonder if the manufacturers predicted that?
Start with a box that accepts interchangeable lenses. Add zoom in, and get protection filter for each objective of the purchase. It is far better to have a low cost, replaceable filter to have bumps and scratches which are common with certain types of photography that is detrimental to a target price. If your camera has no flash, purchase a small electronic flash to complete your system. It's everything you need in terms of equipment, engage in serious shooting. You can add more systems to identify themselves through the experience.
Remember, the body of the camera is the foundation of your system. The body of the purchase play important role in the development of your system in general.
