Suggestions in 18 years 55mm Canon Digital Rebel XT / XTi?

Hi, I have been looking to upgrade to a DSLR and looking for a good. I decided go for Canon Digital Rebel XT / XTi mainly due to two reasons: 1. They are cheaper than similar features Nikon 2. Having friends who have canon lenses, you can ask provided. Can you give me suggestions on the lenses. I was told that Nikon lenses are better than Canon lenses. Also Nikon's body is more robust than the Canon. Any another reason to hit (or not) from Canon. Thank you.

Ok I am a Canon user and I love, I am not a person trying to bash Canon Nikon GMOs and the doctor knows. Nikon done without a dought Canon has better lenses. Canon are optically superior to imagine the quality, brokeh, contrast, etc. But Canon not strike back with having a little bit more Quick AF (I do not know why Nikon only aim with his 3 equivalt of Canon's USM) and a better camera JPEG converter. So that is an advantage if you do not like to edit your photos later photoshop or some program like that. Tip of the lenses, I recomond from 18-55mm just so you can get hte drop using your camera. Once progress and love photograhy, purcahsed an L series of objectives. Depending on what you are doing you will have buy one of your specific needs. I have two for a ride around the lens in general, to replace the 18-55mm, with 24-105mm f / 4 and one for sports and low light 70-200mm f / 2.8. I only do the whole sport shots anyway so it has not yet need to go buy the 24-70mm f/2.8 as they rarely make a wide angle shot Bball games. Edit: When I made my biggest contributor to go?! = (Off topic sorry = X

Canon?

I need a good Canon lens for about $ 100 is a Digital Rebel XT Canon lenses I use for events and have a good grip because I carry two ball games based and family events (day and night) I also want (need) a good zoom lens in my time are 18-55mm with macro 0.28/0.9ft

$ 100 to restrict considerably the lenses available. You already have the zoom range of covers to normal while you are looking for half as long telephoto 70-300mm, but I be out of your price range yet. Look on ebay if you want to Canon glass. Another option would be to go with a brand like Sigma. Check this. It is a goal very quickly, but even in dark situations still need a flash.
