How I can get into professional [independent] sports photography?
I'm looking to do some professional sports photography here in Cork, Ireland. I have a Canon 40d that is suitable for the job .. 6.5 fps @ 10MP. I'll get to rent a lens [Canon 300 mm or 400 mm f2.8 IS] and ensure access to events such as rugby Munster, Cork throwing parties etc. I assume that must first apply for membership Assosiation any self-employed and then request a press pass for the party in question. How I can go about this? Also, how much rent I can pay for the lenses [as mentioned above]? Any advice is appriciated proffesional.

I live in San Jose, CA fly tonight in Indiana. I have a shooting in the field Lafayette 07/07/07. Does anyone know of a reputation Pro camera store. Mainly looking for: Canon L lenses gear mainly and some flash kits, as I decided last minute to leave my flash drives and maybe rent or purchase one in Indiana. Any help?
