Canon Lenses Hong Kong
Equipment for underwater photography?

I'm going to go snorkeling with sea turtles in the Great Barrier Reef in 3 weeks (exactly 21 days lol). I have a Canon 40D I'm going to bring a bag along with an underwater camera and several lenses. Im kind of new to the area of filter, and I just found the filters underwater. Are the filters under the water required for shooting underwater? If so, there is a place where I can get one quickly, before I go of my trip? thanks guys. I live in Hong Kong by road.

An underwater camera "bag" is not enough to put a decent camera in. You need a submarine "housing" specifically for your camera, providing easy access to all camera functions. The best way by far to do underwater photography strobe light is established and from the axis of the lens. Otherwise, you get the "bounce" of all things floating in the water you can not even see. If you can not afford flashes, and must shoot without them, and you have a "digital" camera white balance automatic filters do not need. To use a filter, it is necessary to end the blue, which is frequently under water. You do not realize but it is there. In this day and age with digital equipment, we recommend the use of card memory capacity larger than you can afford. Remember to dry your home after going out water. Keep the O-ring clean so it creates a good seal. Once you've done for the day, soak the camera housing in fresh water for approximately 1 / 2 hour to remove all chemicals in salt water, etc. Many years have passed since the dove the Great Barrier Reef and was an experience I will never forget. Super-cool. Have fun. I was in China four years ago and missed the opportunity to visit Hong Kong, and I'm sorry. Must be nice.
