Reflections on the efficiency of converters of shoe?
I have a Sony A100 DSLR and Metz mecablitz af-81. I am looking at Nikon / Canon cameras and obviously discourages change due to the lack of compatibility between the marks (I have many Sony lenses, equipment, etc.) I have seen many converters shoe on eBay (for example like this: # http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Hot-Shoe-Converter-Adapter-f-Canon-Nikon-Sony-Flash-/360270066333?pt=UK_CamerasPhoto_CameraAccessories_CameraFlashUnits_JN&hash=item53e1c4f29d ht_3127wt_807) And I was wondering if you have any idea about the success of these. I'm just worried if there might be communication problems between the flash and the camera (Although you can get a Metz mecablitz af-81 for Nikon / Canon). Do you guys trust them? In addition, cheap flights hong kong ebay's. If anyone knows of a converter renowned shoe from a reputable brand (price is not a problem) a relationship would be much appreciated.
No communication between the camera and TTL flash using one of these, but other than that, you should fire the flash. If your flash has no decent manual control will be more or less a waste of time and money. I use one adapts the standard flash shoe Sony. With a bit of flash, it will not trigger the flash shoe mount correctly, but the works of making PC. My Metz 32 is well … I have to use the sync cable to get that fire reliably. A pair of old shoes Albinon Sunpak mounts work well.
