Canon Lenses Mount
Does anyone use Nikon or Canon M42 adapter to make full use of M42 mount lenses?

Hi I am looking to buy either Nikon D90 or Canon EOS Rebel T1i 500D but I have different Praktica (M42) lenses.I found that some M42 adapters were made for Nikon and Canon mounts, but I'm not sure if it works correctly (Focus to infinity.) Thanks

Yes, both have the M42 lens mount adapters. Nikon adapter must have a glass optical adapter correct infinity focus. This will most wide lenses, 35mm and below, unusable because of its protruding ends rear. Here are some Nikon bodies will not meter manual lenses. Not sure if the meters manual although Canon lenses, but I'm sure to infinity focus will not be a problem. If you still a body has not bought yet, consider the Pentax DSLR. You can also use M42 mount (also called Pentax screw) lenses through the use of a cheap adapter. Make sure the adapter that receives empties into the camera once installed to be able to focus properly at infinity. The best part is the underground organs Pentax lenses with age. Pentax has openly claimed that all lenses that work with new digital bodies. I have a box full of M42 lenses from 28mm to 500 mm several brands, not just Pentax, and they all work perfectly with the K200D body. My dSLR also has a focus assist feature that helps me to take sharp pictures even with manual focus lenses. Aperture Priority, which have adapted to digital photography without changing my shooting style of the film. This is the main reason I got the Pentax when I decided to get a backup camera for my film SLR.
